Description

An elderly woman is reunited with her lover, a murderer plans a crime, and a baby is born in a haystack.  These stories by new and experienced writers have delighted, surprised and moved audiences. Now it’s your turn to discover them on the page.

The anthology contains 47 stories by 26 authors, first read aloud for Fresh Fiction short story nights at The David Hall, South Petherton, Somerset. The stories were written in response to eight different prompts. Fresh Fiction short story nights began in rural Somerset in 2022 with a simple desire – to hear writers read their stories and to build an audience for short fiction. This first anthology covers 2022 and 2023 with more anthologies to follow next year.
