January: Finding your voice with Mimi Thebo

Ever struggle with voice? Want to get into writing flow? Are there rules around writing for children?  There will be books for sale,  Q and A and readings. Author and Bath Spa lecturer, Mimi Thebo, is giving a talk aimed at writers, with a reading, books for sale Q and A and readings by talented writers.

Mimi’s latest book, Dreaming the Bear, is out soon and was reviewed as being ‘a book that should easily find its place alongside Skellig on the GCSE English Literature syllabus.’ Bookbag Review by ZJ Cookson

After Mimi presented this talk at Marjon Uni students said: ‘Made me want to start writing straight away.’ and ‘made me feel like I could write a whole book.’

Mimi has had seven books published in the last ten years and lectures on the BA and MA in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University.  Her latest work, DREAMING THE BEAR is being published on the 1st February 2016 and is set in Yellowstone Park, aimed at young readers.
